Women are the major users of technology. They remain more hours’ online, use mobile more frequently, and are always keen to accept all Internet-enabled devices. If this is the case, then why we are not giving them equal opportunity in the industry?
“The number of women studying engineering is rapidly increasing, but the opportunities in the workforce don’t necessarily match the opportunities for men.
The gender bias begins early, and it permeates throughout the tech industry. For companies, women offer an immense intelligence resource that remains largely untapped. We spend more money than men on technology and electronics, and to exclude the single most
significant economic force in the world is a definite omission for a supposedly forward-thinking, customer-centric field.
The special issue on Gender Bias at the Work Place in the It Industry is looking for the experienced views sharing from the people in Academia and Corporate both. We want to have the cross views of the stakeholders to submit in the form of thoughtful articles or empirical research papers.
The articles should be original ranging from 1500 words to 10,000 words which should not be published earlier in any other journal or magazine.
