A “Transparent” Blind Review Will it help Curbing of Plagiarism and stopping of Authors Exploitation?
In the Research Publishing “Industry”, we normally use a word very often “ Blind Review”. It normally interprets as Review of the submitted manuscripts by the Reviewer without knowing the identity of the author/s. There are a number of Research Journals which have been mushroomed in the recent past and charge a good amount for review and publish the submitted manuscripts. The process is generally very fast and sometimes within a three days period (frequently I receive the emails for the same) the publishers get the reviewers comments, approve it and publish. The so-called research journals which have mushroomed never share the REVIEWERS COMMENTS (I doubt there is any genuine review is made). Having known all this the reason of stakeholder’s silence is unfortunate! To make the process of “Blind Review” Crystal Clear, we need to automate it. Immediately after the review has been made, the detailed report should be delivered to the author (without disclosing the identity of the reviewer) and the Publisher.

Tasteless Lunch and Uncomfortable Long Sitting – Making Young Generation Educated but Unhealthy, Violent and Inhuman (UVI)
Tasteless Lunch and Uncomfortable Long Sitting - Making Young Generation Educated but Unhealthy, Violent and Inhuman (UVI) IS IT WORTH QUALITY RESEARCH? We would like to quote a serious issue which small kids and school going students particularly face and which ultimately have its serious repercussions. It’s just one of the countless issues, which if researched by academia, would justify their importance. While faculty and school staff normally enjoy with warm water and hot lunch and also a cozy environment in the cold days, small kids and students are forced to sit for long hours in the classrooms even shivering with inadequate intake of water and tasteless food which they have carried from home in the morning. Instead of having lunch they carried from home, they prefer to have hot patties and snacks and chilled soft drinks in the summer days. By the time they finish schooling, their habits get changed and instead of liking fresh homemade food, they are habitual to the fast food. It impacts both, their thinking and health. We expect from both Academic and corporate fraternity to do a Quality research on the issue and suggest a viable solution to the school administration including Government Authorities and all other stakeholders.
For the Middle-Class Business families in India, the founders look for a male family member as a successor to their business. This greed has a number of implications for a fair gender selection. Primarily, the founders prefer a male child and then they give priority to experience than the education of the male child. Due to traditional businesses the importance is given to the experience compared to the higher educational skills. This is primarily true in the case of family businesses which exist for generations and had been established decades before. Here, there are two different types of business structures, the Joint and the Nuclear. Under joint family business, the chances of successful succession are better than the businesses which have been established by nuclear families. In the non-technical traditional businesses, it is quite obvious that the successors are always anxious to transfer the legacy to some male member of the family. It is because, in Indian culture, the female child are deemed to be a non-permanent member of the family and have to leave after marriage.
Bringing Slum’s Children into Mainstream What Happens with the Children – Born /Studied/ Brought up in the Slums and How They Can Become Boon from Bane A CRITICAL STUDY OF THE CHILDREN BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN SLUMS
The slums “a filthy and congested urban street or district inhabited by very poor people” are very common in Industrial / Posh areas of Metro cities. We all have come across with the small children’s cleaning vehicles / Begging / selling some cheap articles at Red Lights or Busy crossings. These young minds are as capable as the children from affluent families. They are always ignored and sometimes we listen that one of these has made the limelight by shining like the star. These young people equally consumed the vital resources but not given opportunities to prove their mettle. We have a number of issues to research on this critical issue. Some of them are – What is the life span of slum dwellers children’s? What they do after and during their childhood? How they impact the country’s economy? How can we bring them into the mainstream? Why and who develop these slums? Who are the Culprits behind developing these slums? The various kinds of crimes are happening because of the slums. We need to do an intensive research to find out the answer to the above questions through a well-structured questionnaire.
Faculty Development Programme CUM Research Conclave (FDP-RC) A Brief of the Current scenario of Research in Higher Education: – There are millions of papers are published every year in the name of Research, unfortunately, even their authors never read them themselves once these are published. The publishing Research papers have become customary and most of the academic fraternity wears it as ornaments. Further, there have been emerged a number of Journals which exploits the authors by charging publishing fee and spread the plagiarism. The unscrupulous people mis-utilised the funding in the name of research. Most of the Ph.D. degrees are on contract and a lot more. We have thousands of Seminars / Conferences and similar events globally in the name of Research; unfortunately take away for the participants are almost zero. The events have just become the rituals where participants enjoy Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner and some site scene and happily depart with a piece of paper in the name of CERTIFICAT and a KIT with pen/pad and proceedings. These proceedings are the just gross loss of paper which is manufactured out of CUTTING millions of trees every year. Unfortunately, these proceedings are just being decorated in the bookshelf, where no one even touches them till they are sold as WASTE.
It is evident that higher education is at crossroads. In the absence of Quality Education we are unable to capitalize the young minds. Undoubtedly, the faculty needs to play an active role in creating a vibrant learning environment, which unfortunately not happening. With a right direction, students could be encouraged to work on various social and economic issues to get a practical insight of the curriculum. All this need the involvement of the faculty along with students in the quality research. Due to unavailability of a support system most of the academia is taking short cut root to publish unproductive useless stuff in the name of research publications. We are trying to evolve a method where right from inception of quality research idea till publications and distribution of the Research Publications comes to a single place. Here, the Research Publications of all kinds will be open access and the authors shall be rewarded in the form of Royalty for their Published Work.
